A Whale of a Time", accommodation
in Fish Hoek, Cape Town.
When we looked for great, affordable accommodation, in Cape
Town, we never thought of Fish Hoek.
Delightful
Fish
Hoek
, is only 30 minutes outside Cape
Town city and is a charming little seaside
village in False Bay with loads of
tourist attractions within a 20-30 minute
radius.
A Whale of a Time
accommodation
in Fish Hoek
is magical! There are various
apartments offered, from single rooms to
family suites. The whole family is thrilled with
"A Whale of a Time". This morning we watched the
whales calving just below the guest
lodge! And just look at the fabulous self-catering
cottage we’re staying in.
It is a self-catering fairytale castle, perched
above the sea in Fish Hoek, overlooking False Bay.
We have a cosy living area, and well fitted kitchen downstairs,
while the bed and bathrooms are upstairs. The thatched cottage was
built by Anton, carrying the stone from the mountain behind it.
Every room at a Whale of a Time has a spectacular view over the
whole of False Bay and the
accommodation is really four star
(and so affordable).
John and Terry are staying in the garden suite
with a separate room for their children and Megan and Ryan are in
the penthouse suite with their family. There are
even single rooms for Aunt Nellie and Aunt Em.
The accomodation is really
comfortable and attractive; lots of solid glowing
wood, beautiful colours and comfort galore, a pool with a view and
the beautiful beach only minutes away.
This morning we are heading down to the beach for some more
whale-watching and swimming at
Fish Hoek beach, while the children want to try their hand at
surfing and sand-boarding. We’ll
take a picnic to Fish Hoek beach (which our hosts
have organised for us) and tonight we plan to visit one of the
great restaurants in the area, for
seafood!
