If you’ve ever visited any of the recently-renovated
Scientology
organizations, you’ll see an intense
attention to detail in every facet of the organization. A prime
example of this is in the Church of Scientology of Madrid —
the National Scientology Church of Spain.
Like the Churches of Scientology of New York, San Francisco or Buffalo, building the Church of Scientology of Madrid involved thousands of volunteer hours from Scientology parishioners all around Europe, and the restoration of one of the great landmarks of the city.
In addition to supreme attention to detail in restoring
the building (which you can see at the photo tour of the
site), the church was also build specifically to accomodate every
service and activity that a Church of Scientology should
be delivering, as clearly deliniated in policy set down by
Scientology Founder, L. Ron
Hubbard.
When the Chairman of the Board Religious Technology Centre, Mr. David Miscavige, gave his keynote speech at the org’s grand opening in 2004, the organization had already expanded to double it’s previous size. It has continued to expand since then, again doubling in size. In 2005, it was officially recognized by the Church of Scientology International as having attained the size of old Saint Hill (the Scientology organization Mr. L. Ron Hubbard built and ran in the 1960’s which set the standard for all other Churches of Scientology in terms of size and responsibility to the community ). This is an achievement also desired by the city of Buffalo — where when that church opened, the mayor of the city pleaded with Scientologists in the area to take the church up to and beyond the size of old Saint Hill.
