Jessica Alba is lining up a stint on the Broadway stage next year - in a bid to beat an actor’s strike.

Alba is in talks to star in a production of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow, playing Karen - a role debuted on the New York stage in 1998 by Madonna.

The actress hopes the show will coincide with a planned actor’s strike - so she doesn’t have to be out of work.

Alba told US morning TV show Live with Regis and Kelly: “I have been asked. It’s perfect timing because of the strike.

Ex-Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson was given the opportunity to win the I’m A Celebrity Camp some treats by taking part in a secret challenge.

The pretty actress was told that she would be rewarded with some drinks if she could mention the titles of five 5IVE songs without getting caught out.

It looks like Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole has landed himself in a bit of hot water with his dance partner Kelly Brook. It seems that the young actress/ model is upset with Cole, allegedly accusing him of not being committed to the show. Apparently they have had a series of fights after Cole came into rehearsals with a hangover.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: “Kelly really wants to win. She has openly admitted that she is incredibly competitive and is putting in all the effort she can. But she doesn’t think Brendan is putting in the same effort.”

Reports are emerging that former Beatles star Paul McCartney is dating Hollywood actress Rosanna Arquette.

The News of the World report that Sir Paul has been spotted enjoying two separate dates with the PULP FICTION star in London over the past week. The newspaper backed up their story with pics of the couple strolling together. Sir Paul has also recently been seen with Nancy Shevell in New York earlier this month.

Angelina Jolie’s head peers out from luminous, turquoise water in a dark cavern littered with decaying bodies and skeletons.

She is moving slowly toward her prey. Trailing Jolie is a long, thin, twisting gold tail.

“I love my tail,” Jolie laughs during an interview in Los Angeles recently. The water scene is the first time audiences of her new, ground-breaking digitally-enhanced live action film, Beowulf, see Jolie’s face.

The other lead actors in Beowulf, Anthony Hopkins, Ray Winstone, John Malkovich and Robin Wright Penn, are not so easily recognisable, thanks to new generation motion capture technology Beowulf director Robert Zemeckis used to make the film.

It seems almost everyone has an opinion about Britney Spears’ fall from pop grace. “Loveline” host Dr. Drew Pinksy recently joined the chorus in an interview with Us Weekly. The addiction-medicine specialist shared his informed opinion on what’s wrong in Brit’s life and whether or not there’s still hope for the singer.

“(Britney) is a drug addict,” Dr. Drew insisted. “It is an indisputable point.” To back up his claim, he told Us, “We know that she is a drug addict because she’s been admitted to a treatment center. You can’t be admitted unless you’ve met criteria for addiction.”

The Spice Girls are claiming to have fallen victim to a hoaxer who has sent an email perporting to be from the reformed girl group.

Last week it was reported that the band had cancelled a show in Argentina, after an ‘official’ email was sent to fans claiming that their Buenos Aires gig had been scrapped due to high demand for their other dates.

However, a Spice Girls spokesman has issued a statement branding the announcement a “fake”:

“The Spice Girls would like to make it clear that they have not cancelled their Buenos Aires show.
