For those of you who loved People of Walmart, there's a brand-new blog to devour, a collection of insanely ridiculous photos that pregnancy blogger Amy Morrison could easily have called Awkward Knocked-up Photos (the photos were totally cribbed from Awkward Family Photos -- another side-splitter). Besides far more skin than you’d ever want to see (and I’m not talking about the moms-to-be here), you get dead birds, swamps, body graffiti and hockey masks. Oh, and a shocking number of firearms -- because nothing says “motherly love” like a sawed-off shotgun.

Like many authors behind similar sites, Morrison’s brilliance is as much about her snarky photo captions as it is the pictures themselves. (Beneath a particularly odd shot of a bare-naked mama-to-be gazing adoringly at her baby daddy, who is inexplicably hugging a tire, Morrison quips, "It's going to be a good year, Laura. A very Goodyear indeed.") If nothing else, perusing the photographic oddities makes me feel infinitely better about my own collection of pregnancy portraits. Sure, I may have a linebacker’s neck and a few too many chins, but at least there’s not a single shot of me and my husband in a naked embrace.
