Ever wondered what was so special about the month December? As a child you waited for Christmas holidays and the festive celebrations. As an adult maybe you fret a little, because you think it is going to burn a hole in your pocket. Now even if a temporary financial crunch is giving you a reason to worry, the only solution is to make hay while the sun shines and revel in the Christmas celebrations . Saving up in small proportions through the year to splurge on Christmas day may be the right strategy to enjoy the festival to the hilt.

• It is not Christmas when you are lazy to go up the attic to get the Christmas tree and deck it up; instead you place the computer monitor showing a Christmas tree to bring in the festive mood.

• A ‘Tickle Me Elmo doll greed killed Christmas spirit’ written on your T shirt denotes that it is not Christmas time yet.

• You know it is not Christmas when you actually want to give away your dog`s litter of puppies as Christmas gifts .

• It is not Christmas when, your e cards go with a note stating that you could do with some cash donation instead of gifts, to your astonishing credit card debt.

• Now if these anecdotes made you smile, just wake up to the true spirit of Christmas!!!

Instead of going on a tangent about how you can avoid being in the right spirit for the festive season, make sure you plan in advance. So save, splurge and enjoy the festival to the brim, while it lasts. There is just one Christmas in a year . So make the most of it and get all generous this December.
