I learned this little trick a couple of weeks ago. I've tested it out a few times with great success. It works best in groups since you need more than one person. I'm still experimenting on the best process for which girl it's best to use it on ( obstacle or target)
1) have one of the girls write a short (3-6 words) sentence down on a piece of paper. Then have her fold it up.
2) The secret to this trick is showmanship. Make a big deal about how you're peering into her mind. "okay, visualize the sentence. Imagine a writing it on a blackboard. Blah blah blah" Throw in a neg or a smart ass remark at this point if you're doing it on the target. or a simple, "If i'm right, this is VERY interesting."
3) Write down on your piece of paper these exact 3 words. "THE SAME THING". Fold up the paper. Hand it off to the other girl.
4) Ask the original girl what her paper says. She reads it off. Then ask the girl, with your paper, what yours says. She will usually look at it, laugh, and say, "the same thing!"
Personally, I like to do the demonstration on the obstacle and hand my paper to the target. When she looks at it, you give a little conspiratorial wink, and suddenly you are sharing a secret. Plus, the obstacle thinks you're pretty damned cool at this point.
