This is the same old scam that I've seen all over the site so I
won't bore you with
redundant details. http://www.ipaopinions.com This site has all the
dirt!
I was called on Thurs by a telemarketer
who had my last name wrong. Next day, I was visited by a very nice,
well-spoken, older woman who
described their services. She said an analyst was in the area and
they could reduce the normal fee by half to $400 and I only paid if
satisfied with what he presented.
So 2 days later,
the analyst was waiting at my office. We discussed the business and
I provided p&ls, balance sheets, tax info, etc. He spent a bit
of time on his laptop and had some surveys for me to fill out
overnight. The guy was very nice, older gentleman who
really seemed to know what he was talking about. Next day, Tues.,
he comes back and spends the entire day showing me his analysis and
how they could help with consulting. Fortunately,
that morning I spent a bit of time researching their company and
was amazed at all the info about their fraudulent
practices that surfaced. With that in mind, I played along
listening to his presentation with no intent to sign. He basically
regurgitated all my company info back to me in reports and graphs
designed to distract and give the illusion that
they know their numbers. The projections, however, were incorrect
and the method that showed how we could increase
profit
was simply incorrect. The average
person might not look close enough or do their own math but I
did.
