JUNE, 2008 TIBETAN INSTITUTE & LIBRARY, Coral Gables
Thursday, June 5th, 7:30pm, Books & Books, Coral Gables We will
continue with our study of the teachings by His Holiness the Dalai
Lama on the Heart Sutra.
Thursday, June 12th, 7:30pm, Miami Friends Meeting House Please
join us for a meeting to discuss the future programs of the Tibetan
Institute & Library. Your attendance at this meeting is
requested as we will discuss the need for donations and/or fund
raising activities in order to be able to continue our programs at
the Miami Friends Meeting House. While all of our programs are
offered totally free of charge, there are costs involved in renting
the Miami Friends Meeting House. We are faced with the decision
whether to discontinue the meetings at the Miami Friends Meeting
House and request that you participate by sharing your views. In
the past we have been fortunate to be able to offer an annual
lecture series by Tibetan Lamas such as Geshe Sopa, Geshe Lhakdor
and Lama Pema, among others. We have a number of highly qualified
Tibetan scholars who have offered to come to Miami and present
lectures and seminars to our groups but we lack the funds to invite
them. Please show your support by sending a donation to Tibetan
Institute and Library, 1940 N.E. 159th St., North Miami Beach, Fl.
33162. For more information please call 305-947-2896. We will show
a video of the life and work of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
