Hostgator Review by jckhosting - Going good…then I found this out
Reviewed on November 11th, 2007 Find moreSo I signed up on the Copper Reseller package back in July. Everything has been pretty smooth since then. The server has only had issues twice that I can remember. Can’t really complain.
However, recently, a majority of the domains I host had issues with their sent emails being flagged as spam. After a little bit of research, I found that the default ip address that my accounts were set up on was actually shared among other resellers on the same server! Now, I’m not expecting the world from HostGator on this reseller plan. However, I do think it would be a safe assumption that when I sign up with a reseller account they would at least give me an ip address that is not in use by anyone else.
I have since bought 4 other ip addresses for other client’s SSL needs. I would like to avoid going through the hassle of buying another ip and then having to have all of my other domains updated to that ip. However, it seems as though that is my only course of action to resolve the issues.
