Kids and even adults have a fascination with superheros like Batman, Spiderman, Superman, the X-Men, etc. I guess that's because they have special powers that people dream they had. I wish I had the ability to fly or leap over tall buildings, to be so fast that nobody could see me, or to have a huge warehouse full of gadgets tucked inside my small utility belt. It's those amazing abilities that make superheroes so fascinating.

Another reason they're so popular is because people love the struggle of good against evil. Superheroes are representatives of good, and it's our natural tendency to cheer them on enthusiastically. The villains may be kind of cool, but we really love the heroes.
