There´s no visiting Las Vegas without seeing Freemont Street,
one of the biggest Las Vegas attractions. Five blocks that appear
by day to be an ordinary pedestrian street with a canopy overhead .
. . but by night, the canopy transforms into an amazing light show
that is not to be missed.
Originally started in June of 2004, this spectacular Las Vegas
attraction has drawn crowds ever since. The arched canopy is made
up of over 12.5 million LED lights that are computer controlled to
portray vivid pictures and animations. And though the original Las
Vegas attraction was impressive, the Freemont Street Light and
Sound show was recently upgraded to Viva Vision, which gives
crisper pictures and a more dazzling experience.
There is nothing like walking down Freemont Street at night,
enjoying the music and three brand-new productions designed
specifically for the show. The high rez pictures can be seen from
just about every angle on the street and speakers blast the music
and voices to go with the images you´ll be seeing. It really is an
amazing experience.
Stay close to the action by booking a room at the
Golden Nugget Hotel where you can book a room in the 22 story
building that overlooks the Las Vegas light attraction. Just walk
out the front door to enjoy the show!

Most people think of Las Vegas as an adult-only place, but the
truth is that it can be quite kid-friendly, if you know where to
look. While minors aren´t allowed on the casino floor, there are
still plenty of Las Vegas attractions for your children to check
out.
The
Las Vegas Blue Man show is an amazing theatrical presentation
that combines music, comedy and theater into one spectacular show.
All the actors are, of course, painted blue. This is a totally
kid-friendly show.

Circus Circus offers amazing circus shows and a pint-sized
“casino” where kids can spend their extra cash on penny pushers and
stuffed animal claw machines. It´s definitely a place to check out
if you are taking children to Las Vegas.
The
Las Vegas Comedy Pet Theater is another show that is perfectly
safe for innocent eyes. Your kids will love watching adorable cats
and dogs, and even the occasional mouse, perform tricks on the
stage.
Another great Las Vegas attraction for kids is the Coca Cola
museum. Here, kids will learn about the history of Coke, see an
actual bottling plant and be able to sample beverages made by the
Coca Cola company around the world (ever tried African grapefruit
soda?).
There are plenty of fun Las Vegas attractions to see with your
children, so there should be no hesitation about bringing the
little ones on your Las Vegas vacation.

The original Madame Tussauds is in London, England. In it there
are famous figures past and present that have always attracted
millions of curious eyes, all wondering what it is like standing
next to someone so well known.
Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas is pretty much the same. It
probably targets more Americans than Europeans, but that’s to be
expected. They have over 100 highly realistic wax replicas of
celebrities from movies, sports, music and television.
The Spirit Of America themed area lets you stand shoulder to
shoulder with the likes of George Washington, John F Kennedy,
Abraham Lincoln and others. Another popular themed exhibit is The
King In Concert where The King is of course, Elvis. This is one of
the interactive exhibits, and Elvis truly seems to be alive and
well at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas.
The museum is constantly adding to its already huge collection
of wax figures. They perform regular surveys to disover what their
visitors would like to see. The answers may find themselves as a
new wax figure, if the response is there. Johnny Depp as Captain
Jack Sparrow from the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean” for example
is the result of popular demand.
The Marry Clooney experience is one of the most popular
exhibits, at least among the women. Interested visitors can dress
up in a wedding dress and stand beside one of America’s most
eligible bachelors. They can even have celebrities as the
“witnesses.” Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is a possibility, or
Elvis and Marilyn Monroe even!

Scream factor is a phrase describing how good a ride is.
The Thrill Ride Adventure Tour claims to have five scream
factors, and that’s very good news for thrill ride enthusiasts!
This attraction incorporates no less than five of the greatest
experiences you can have with all your clothes on.
“Enjoy some of the
most intense and fun thrill rides in Las Vegas as you take on 5
of the best rides - The Big Shot, X Scream and Insanity at the
Stratosphere, Speed the Ride at the Sahara and then Manhattan
Express at New York New York. Five hours of heart-pumping fun!”
deals.travelape.com
There’s not a lot to say after that! Except that this is ride
paradise. Everything you ever hoped good rides would be will come
true when you take the
Thrill Ride Adventure Tour in Las Vegas. For a start, you
commence at the very top of the Stratosphere, one of the highest
points for miles around. Here you will start off with The Big Shot,
experiencing no less than four G’s of force, traveling at 45 miles
an hour. Nut there’s more to come…
X Scream is the third highest ride in the world. And of course,
they don’t have the word, “scream” it its name for nothing! If you
want a really good view of the Strip and Las Vegas in general, then
Insanity is for you. This amazing ride will push you some 64 feet
out over the edge of the Stratosphere tower. It will spin you at
three G’s of force though, so maybe your view of the city will be a
bit distorted. But you didn’t go on the ride for the view…
Speed comes next. This ride is at the Sahara Hotel. This ride is as
good as it gets. You will go forwards and backwards at 70, yes 70,
miles an hour. Last but not least comes the Manhattan Express. It’s
two minutes of twisting and turning. Then there’s a 50 degree drop,
almost straight down.
Just as well lunch comes next, and not before!

The Grand Canyon. The only spectacle on earth that is greater
than its combined hype. This is a
self drive tour to Grand Canyon West Rim, so you take it at
your own pace. The day starts when they pick you up by
complementary shuttle and take you to the rental desk where you
will receive your rental car for the day.
An interactive map, road games and a full gas tank is what you
get, along with the car, of course. The idea is to follow the map
and discover important sites of interest along the way.
“Once past Boulder City and Lake Mead, you will see the
incredible Hoover Dam! Past The Hoover Dam will be tiny towns and
communities. Watch out for longhorn sheep, wild horses, cows, and
if you look close, you may see a snake crossing the road at the
Joshua Tree Forest.” www.viator.com
After the incredible Joshua Tree Forest you will make a turn off
in the direction of the Grand Canyon. You will now be on Hualapai
Land and another phase of the journet starts. You will pass through
several points of interest: Indian Village, Eagle Point, Guano
Point, and Hualapai Ranch.
From here you can enjoy a half hour horse drawn wagon ride which
takes you to Hualapai Ranch at the rim of the canyon. Here you can
take the optional activity of going out on to the
Grand Canyon Skywalk. This is a glass bridge suspended out over
the canyon. You can stand 4,000 feet above the canyon floor and
feel like you are standing on air. Amazing!

The Death Valley Day Tour is a seasonal tour and, because of
the extreme heat generated in the area in summer, it only operates
in the winter months between October and May. The tour last around
11 hours, which includes transport to and from Las Vegas.
A complementary continental breakfast is served to you at Beatty
in Nevada. This is your first stop out of Las Vegas in the
incredibly beautiful Mojave Desert. Scotty’s Castle is the next
stop where you will be taken back a century or so in history
information.
The castle tour takes a full hour, then you will have a half
hour to explore the area for yourself. You can also eat the
complementary lunch provided during this time.
Your next stop is at the Ubehebe Crater. There once was a
volcano here, but an eruption at one time was so violent that it
disappeared and just left a big hole in the ground. The hole, or
crater, is half a mile across and 800 feet deep.
Furnace Creek Ranch museum is the stop next on the list and here
they will tell you the history of Death Valley. Moving on you come
to Badwater. This is lowest point in the western hemisphere. It
stands, or lies, 282 feet below sea level.
You end the tour at Rhyolite Ghost Town. Her they will present
you with your
Death Valley Explorer Certificate!

The Vegas Mob Tour refers of course to the Mob, as in organized
crime. This is a tour that exposes the more sordid side of Sin
City. The tour will take you through the city to places where
murders have taken place. Where people have disappeared under
strange circumstances and where tough-looking individuals wearing
pin-striped suits and fedora hats weaved their way in and out of
society.
“People are fascinated by anything about Las Vegas. They want to
hear about the celebrities, the casinos, the mob and all that’s
synonymous with this town.”
That’s what Robert Allen, CEO and founder of
The Vegas Mob Tour has to say, and he’s right too. This is a
city where glitter and glitz go hand in hand with the unpalatable
side of doing business. Celebrities like Frank Sinatra and Elvis
may have had their names in lights, but there’s a much darker side
to the Las Vegas history.
“Strange tales of Sin City’s colorful past fill the air.
You will hear about the notorious gangster/casino builder Benjamin
“Bugsy” Siegel and infamous mob enforcers Tony “The Ant” Spilotro
and Frank Cullotta. Guests learn the truth about casino boss Frank
“Lefty”Rosenthal, as well as celebrity deaths, suicides and many
other strange and puzzling Nevada mysteries.”
www.vegasmobtour.com
This is a tour for those who enjoy a little bit of spine
chilling, but don’t want to be permanantly scarred.
If you think you could enjoy visiting crime scenes where gangsters
were shot in cold blood, then this attraction is for you!

There’s one highly watched movie in IMAX history: The Grand Canyon

Weddings have become big business in Las Vegas. And somewhere
along the line Elvis Presley has become tied up in it all. Elvis,
of course, only had one wedding of his own, which was pretty
surprising considering the number of weddings that his
contemporaries got through.
Elvis’ wedding to Priscilla took place in Las Vegas, so I guess
that does make some kind of a tenuous connection. Their only child,
a daughter, Lisa Marie, has been married four times, so the Elvis
connection in Las Vegas with weddings is probably stronger than it
first seems.
The Can’t Help Falling in Love - Elvis Wedding in Las Vegas is
flamboyant if nothing else. The bride can walk down the aisle with
Elvis and have him give her away. OK, it’s not really Elvis, of
course. It’s a lookalike, one of the many hundreds in Las
Vegas.
And it’s not just a first time marriage that you can have
either.
” If you are renewing your vows, Elvis can also perform your
ceremony, giving you the opportunity to exchange the infamous Elvis
Vows.” www.elvisweddings.com
An Elvis wedding is not overly cheap to purchase. But this is
your big day, so who cares. You can have a wide range of options.
These include having no less than two Elvis’s representing
different parts of his career. You can have him sing up to five
songs, and you can choose your Elvis theme, from gold lame to white
jumpsuit and everything in between.
A
Can’t Help falling In Love - Elvis Wedding is everything you
might expect. It’s for the adventurous who want a different kind of
wedding in a setting that has glamour and glitz. You’ll get the
outfits, the sultry looks and the songs. And only when it is all
over will you hear, “Elvis has left the building…”

We’ve all seen a western movie or two. Perhaps we’ve also
secretly wished we could have seen the prairies from the
perspective of someone on horseback. Or maybe we sometimes dream of
being an outlaw in the Wild West. It’s a romantic image and one
that does no harm to escape to occasionally. Well, with
The Jesse James Horse Ride activity tour you don’t have to
imagine it. You can really do it!
“Named after Jesse James, this wildly popular Las Vegas
horseback riding adventure is often compared to being a scene out
of the movies, except you’ll be the one riding off into the
sunset!” www.sagebrushranchadventures.com
Maybe it wasn’t all like the ramantic image that the movies
portray. But who cares anyway! It’s fund to dream. It’s fun to let
your imagination run wild. It’s just fun to let your hair down and
forget all about the office, the kids at home, or the traffic on
the freeway. Let the dirt beneath your horse’s hooves be the
freeway and relax.
This tour begins when you get picked up from your hotel. It
takes 45 minutes or so to drive you out to the ranch where it all
begins. There the friendly cowboy and cowgirls will help you out
and get you fitted up for the horse ride you will never forget.
You’ll set off on the east side of the Moapa Valley between a
backdrop of mountains and desert.
Before long you’ll be passing old disused mines of the 1800s after
you’ve crossed the Muddy River. Here yoyu can see horses, cattle
big horn sheep and more. Here the scenery is from deep inside every
western you’ve ever seen. Don’t be too surprised is you catch a
glimpse of Jesse James himself…

Too many visitors to Las Vegas stay in Las Vegas for the
duration of their visit. Sure, there’s lots to see in the city, but
don’t think that there’s nothing else to see. There’s a whole world
of tours outside of the city just waiting to be explored and
enjoyed. So be adventurous and get on a tour away from casino,
hotels and bright flashing lights. There’s fun to be had, so go out
and find it!
One of the best and the simplest tours is the
Amargosa Buggy Tour. You’ll be picked up from your downtown
hotel in Las Vegas and be taken out of the city traveling for a
cuple of hours out to where the sand dunes stand up to 500 feet
high. This is where you will take to a buggy and try out your
skills. You’ll have a full four hours to get up to speed, so plenty
of time to practice.
The buggies are pretty much like your regular car, with brakes,
gears, accelerator and steering. You need a full complement of four
person per buggy. If this cannot be fulfilled, then you willl not
undertake the tour and your money will be refunded.
“The safest off-road vehicles are used on the dunes and they
come equipped with roll cages, seatbelts, and helmets for your
safety. You as the renter take the responsibility to operate the
vehicle responsibly. Rolling the buggie is the result of
irresponsible operation.” www.just-tours.co.uk
This is a fun tour. It’s a toys for boys kind of day that you
won’t forget - even if you’re a girl!

The Grand Canyon - the only natural wonder of the world that is
actually greater than its publicity. I can vouch for that
personally. I visited the Grand Canyon in April of 1995. I expected
it to be “Grand,” but what I saw literally took my breath away. I
haven’t been back since, but I hope to be. Maybe I’ll take the Las
Vegas VIP Deluxe Helicopter Tour Las Vegas VIP Deluxe Helicopter
Tour and see it all over again from a different perspective.
This is a tour that really deserves the title of VIP. From the
Las Vegas hotel limousine pick up to the limousine return, some
three and three-quarters of an hour later, you will be treated like
a VIP, and you will see some sights that few have seen. You
probably won’t believe that it all was real, which is why you need
to take lots and lots of photos to remind yourself later that it
really did happen!
You will be taken to the helicopter which will fly you to the
Grand Canyon where you will descend 3,200 feet down to the canyon
floor. This is in deep Hualapai Indian Territory and nearby the
mighty Colorado River flows thundering past. Down on the canyon
floor you will enjoy a champagne picnic in a paradise setting the
like of which you have never seen before.
You will continue your tour up to the canyon rim and soar along
on your way to the Valley of Fire, so-called because of its red
rock formations that seem to be constantly on fire. All too soon
you will be back in Las Vegas and the dream will be over. But it
sure will have been worth it!

The
Las Vegas Hummer Ancient Valley Tour will take you an hour’s
travel north of the city of Las Vegas to a place that is Area 34.
Yes, it sounds a bit like Area 51, but that’s a quite different
place altogether. You will be there for a day of adventure and
photo opportunity. You’ll love it!
The scenery at Area 34 has been 500 million years in the making.
That’s why it is so spectacular and beautiful. Here you will find
forests of petrified wood among rock formations that are truly
unique. You will hear stories that may suggest extraterrestial
occurrances in the area, but then again, maybe not. Who knows!
Lunch is at the Moapa American Indian Travel Plaza and you will
love it. After all that Hummer activity and movement, you’ll be
glad of the chance to rest for a while. It gets hot here, of
course. So be prepared. This is a part of the world not far from
Las Vegas geographically. But it is a million light years away from
all the glamour and glitz. This is nature at it’s rawest edge. This
is real.
The
Las Vegas Hummer Ancient Valley Tour will thrill you, excite
you, and truly satisfy your basic adventure needs. This is a tour
for those who enjoy an adrenalin rush, but who also love nature and
beauty.
