Here’s what I think. Cut through the buzz and bluster about Web 2.0 and here’s what I think is, or at least should be, going on. As much as anything, what drives the good thinking that is going on in Web 2.0 is an attempt to use social mechanisms and greater transparency (vs. black box math and oppressive amounts of paid returns) to help people collect and organize what’s really useful, credible, and relevant.
