In October 2008, a police employee was forced out of his job because he believed in psychics and spirituality.

Alan Power is 62 years old and is from Merseyside and used to work for the Greater Manchester Police. And just recently, he won in a court ruling that says his views should be considered as faith.

A police authority appeal that contested his beliefs as not equal to religious views was rejected by an employment tribunal.

Mr. Power believes that psychics are helpful in the investigation of a crime because they are able to contact people even after their death. According still to Mr. Power, such faith in psychics was a result of his own experience when he was a child and used to see “ghosts”.

The Psychic News, Britain’s oldest spiritualist newspaper, has come back to life under a new ownership. It may be recalled that it was closed sometime in July 2010. And after over a year, it comes back to provide us vivid information on spirituality, astrology, numerology, and other subjects related to psychics.

JV Trust bought the original publisher, Psychic Press Ltd., in October of last year. It has now released its first recently. If the issues released from the past owner are to be included, this recent one would be 4,067th one.

Psychic News used to be published weekly by the previous publisher. However, it is now sold and can be read by its followers every fortnight and is available at Spiritualist churches as well as news agents.

More than that, the newspaper will also be available online and its first issue is free for all.
