LG KC780 will be LG's next cameraphone to be equipped with an 8 megapixel camera. This means good news for LG fans, since they will have yet another device that will enable them to take high quality photos.

While the whole 8 megapixel camera is nothing short of exciting news, everything else about this phone doesn't seem to get people fired up that much. This happens mostly because LG didn't take much interest in its design, so much so that the new handset can’t really stand out from the crowd.

The KC780 is a slide phone that, as seen in the photo, really doesn't have that certain something to make you go “wow.” Come to think of it, it actually looks kind of ordinary. As revealed on the FCC website, it has already gone through the paces and was approved for GSM1900 and Bluetooth emissions.

Other features of the phone, as put together from various other sources, include quad band GSM/GSM/GPRS and EDGE connectivity. No 3G on this one, it seems. It will also support a microSD card, which should add pretty nicely to the existent 140 MB of internal memory, and USB 2.0 connectivity, along with Bluetooth 2.0.

Samsung may be gunning for a high end market with it’s touchscreen flagships like Samsung Pixon M8800, smartphones like  Samsung Innov8 i8150 or as yet unannounced Symbian based Samsung i7110.

But it does not mean that the Korean vendor will abandon it’s low end handset segment that has been Samsung’s bread and butter in many markets. It will certainly not.

And, what’s more, Samsung is also bringing some “Soul’ness” to their cheap clamshells as well. The case in point - is newly announced Samsung GT-S3600 flip phone.

Samsung GT-S3600 takes the design page  from a Soul clamshell Samsung G400 but replaces all the specs fatty with simple components to make the handset really cheap.

Heck, it even does away with any kind of external display, which does not seam like the best idea for a clamshell. Other Samsung S3600 specs include:

Samsung M8800 is the first Pixon series which you will see more products coming up next year with high megapixel camera capability. Mobile-Review has now posted their review in english.The Samsung Pixon M8800 is a Quadband GSM phone, it supports HSDPA connection, GPS but do not have a built in WiFi. The built in GPS is being limited in its functionality though, you can use it in geo-tagging your photo but can not be used for GPS Navigation according to mobile-review. The 8 megapixel camera module is able to record video in either 720×480 pixels (30 FPS), VGA (30 FPS) or QVGA (120 FPS) resolution. A flash LED is can be used in low light condition. Here is the summary on its 8 megapixel camera module.Running a similar native Samsung OS as Samsung F480, TouchWiz UI is available on the 3.2-inch WQVGA display screen (240 x 400).
