The benq Siemens EF71 is a
combination of a music phone and designer phone with great looks.
The metallic silver clamshell looks elegant and its upper panel has
a bright external display, this phone falls in the category of
designer phones with its slim and silver metal design. A 2.0 MP
camera lens and dedicated music keys. The 2.0 MegaPixel camera with
zoom not only captures pictures but can also work as a web cam when
connected to a computer. The EF71 has an MP3 player which supports
various formats. The sound quality using headset was fantastic, but
a little disappointing in loudspeaker mode. There is an FM
transmitter feature which allows users to access music stored on
the cellphone over their FM radios. Its other features are Li –
polymer 750 mAh battery, 24 MB internal memory and mocroSD card
slot, phonebook of 500 entries, speakerphone, camcorder, GPRS and
many more. Accept all these features its weight is just 100 g and
size 90 x 47 x 18.5 mm. but its battery has just 3 Hrs talk time
backup and 225 Hrs of stand by. You can’t stop your legs to move on
its 3D surrounding sound.
It has a few international awards to its credit, such as Germany’s
IF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award and japan’s 2006 G-Mark
Award. The benq Siemens EF71 is likely to face competition from
Nokia’s Prism and Sony Ericsson’s W580i in price.
