New Gift Ideas for the Zombie Lover

I’ve been thinking more and more about what scares us.  Picture a cute beagle.  Now picture it was cat eyes.  A beagle is cute.  A kitty is cute.  A beagle with kitty eyes is unsettling.  Now give it horns.  Horns are cute on goats.  Horns on kitty-eyed beagles move from unsettling to creepy.  So, I think, and the neuroscience suggests, that scary equals familiar meshed with something else familiar to create something recognizably unfamiliar. I applied this to zombies, and it brought me to writing this post for Psychology Today.
